Service Saturdays
Once a month, SMU students gather on a Saturday to serve the community in a direct, short-term way. Service opportunities vary from working on a construction site with Habitat for Humanity, serving lunch at a local soup kitchen, working at the local Society of St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store, visiting the elderly at a nursing home, etc. Activities change monthly and provide the perfect opportunity for one-time, limited commitment service. It is also a great way to meet other students who are passionate about service, and a way for you to think about getting more involved!
