Community

We have all known the long loneliness, and we have found that the answer is community.

- Dorothy Day

Our late Pope John Paul II once said that “a community needs a soul if it is to become a true home for human beings.  You, the people must give it this soul.”  College is an amazing time of transition.  In some cases, we leave our friends, family and a way of life behind.  We take this step in order to become more fully who we are called to be.  At SMU Catholic we strive to be a welcoming and nurturing community on campus for anyone who walks through the doors of the Neuhoff Catholic Center, drops by for mass, or who we happen to meet on our way to class.  We have many activities and events planned throughout the school year to celebrate who we are as a family of faith and to fellowship with one another.  It is our hope that we can be a home away from home for you during your SMU experience!
